At Congregation Beth Shalom, we strive to create a vibrant and meaningful community for our family. For us, community means a sense of warm welcome, meaningful relationships, and mutual responsibility. We affirm a sense of both valued boundaries and a great respect for diversity. We celebrate our identity as a multi-generational community. We envision the relationship between congregants, rabbis and staff as a partnership based upon mutual respect, shared Jewish commitment, and ongoing Jewish growth.
From Generation To Generation — Beth Shalom fosters and is increasing engagement for our older members through spiritual, intellectual and social based opportunities. We are so proud of all that we do in creating so many opportunities our older adults 70+ to be a vibrant part of every temple activity.
Congregation Beth Shalom takes great pride in its youth department. Its primary goal is to foster social, spiritual, and educational programming for the children. The diverse programs help to create an atmosphere that is stimulating and conducive to the development of strong positive bonds among the children, the Temple and Jewish tradition. All youth activities should give children the opportunity to develop and deepen their connections to other Jewish youth and to Judaism itself. As a result we hope to educate and develop future Jewish leaders.
Congregation Beth Shalom believes in connecting with college students to keep them connected to their Judaism, their congregation, and their home. We invite all college students to Beth Shalom and become part of our family while you are in Sacramento.
If you are a Beth Shalom college or graduate student and want to be included in mailings for the 2013-2014 school year, please contact the temple office.
Congregation Beth Shalom Young Adults connects people in their 20s and 30s to each other, to Judaism and Beth Shalom. We welcome you to participate in our community where friendships develop, young adults explore Jewish learning, and we act powerfully together to make a difference in our local community and in our world. For more information or to connect with us, please contact the Temple office.
We are looking to build a vibrant and robust singles program where you can connect and socialize with other Jewish singles. Give us a call so that we can connect you with others seeking to explore Jewish learning and social activities.
We consider everyone at Beth Shalom our family. No matter the size or scope of your family, whether you are one person or six, traditional or non-traditional, Jewish or interfaith, new to judaism, you are part of our larger CBS family. With that in mind we create wonderful programming that provides a plethora of opportunities for everyone.
